About Our Founder – Dr. Denita Pimienta

Dr. Denita Pimienta is a Tampa native whose career has been shaped by two equally defining forces – a sharp business mind and a servant’s heart. With a professional foundation in Contract Management, Corporate Performance, and Fiscal Analysis, she brings the rigor of the boardroom to one of Central Florida’s most trusted youth development organizations. As Founder and Executive Director of Children Athletes and Artists Involved in Recreational Events (CAAIRE), Dr. Pimienta has spent more than two decades helping young people use their artistic abilities and athletic talents as pathways to higher education and successful futures.

Her academic preparation reflects the breadth of her work. Dr. Pimienta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from The University of Tampa, a Master’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Organizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College, and a Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University. That foundation shows up in the work – in the dynamic workshops, conferences, and summits she facilitates across the country, and in the way she moves fluidly between conversations about youth development, workplace wellness, corporate leadership, prevention, and the power of positive choices.

Dr. Pimienta extends that same commitment beyond CAAIRE and into the broader community. She serves as Chair of the Osceola County Children’s Cabinet and as a Board Member of the Osceola Council on Aging. She also chairs the Non-Profit Coalition through the Coalitions Council Board of the Osceola Chamber, and has contributed to the Osceola County Youth Development Task Force, the Orange County Drug-Free Coalition, and the Osceola County Tobacco-Free Partnership.

Her contributions have earned recognition from organizations and institutions across the region – including the Orange County Public Health Hero designation, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Citizen of the Year Award, the Vanguard of Education Award from BECC, the Women’s History Month Honoree designation from the City of Kissimmee, the Community Service Award from the Black History Committee of Orange County, and the Community Partner of the Year Award from the University of Central Florida’s student engineering society – NSBE. She is also a proud graduate of Leadership Osceola’s Class of 2022.

And when the workday is done, Dr. Pimienta is simply Denita – a music lover who can find the right song for any moment, a writer who processes the world through words, and a mom who takes genuine delight in watching her two young adults chase their own dreams through higher education. She lives in Central Florida, moves through life with intention and a little bit of joy, and believes – without apology – that community is everything.
