Denita Pimienta is a native of Tampa, Florida, and an accomplished business leader in the Contract Management and Corporate Performance & Fiscal Analysis fields. Her passion for youth in the areas of arts and education encouraged her to found Children Athletes & Artists Involved in Recreational Events (CAAIRE) – a nonprofit youth development organization with a mission to have students use their artistic abilities and athletic talents to obtain higher education, to pave the way to successful futures. Denita’s formal education provides her with the tools to effectively communicate the vision of CAAIRE and is demonstrated in her ability to facilitate dynamic workshops, conferences, and summits throughout the country. She not only presents on youth development, but also workplace wellness, corporate leadership, prevention, and internal fortitude based on positive choices. She couples a servant’s heart with her business leadership skills to formulate a unique perspective to positively address the needs of our youth and community. Denita holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication (Marketing and Public Relations) from The University of Tampa and a master’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Organizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College. She will receive her Doctor of Education in the Fall of 2025 from Nova Southeastern University.
Denita’s commitment to the community is shown in her service to the Leadership Teams of the Osceola County Children’s Cabinet, where she serves as the 2024 Chair and as a Board Member of the Osceola Council on Aging. She also serves on the Osceola County Youth Development Task Force, Orange County Drug-Free Coalition, the City of Kissimmee NAACP Trailblazers, and was the Co-Chair of the Osceola County Tobacco-Free Partnership. Additionally, Denita is the recipient of the Community Partner of the Year Award from the University of Central Florida – National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE-UCF). She is a graduate of Leadership Osceola’s Class of 2022 and was most recently named Orange County’s Public Health Hero and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Citizen of the Year.
Denita’s personality and creativity are illustrated in her love for music, writing, and the arts. She sings daily – mostly to her own tune – at home or in the car. Denita currently lives in Central Florida and is a mom of two young adults in pursuit of – you guessed it – higher education.
